ABET GUIDABEN – “The Pioneer”
When the SMC Franchise returned to the PBA after a two year hiatus, they were happy to land Guidaben to their team. Turns out, Guidaben would serve as the initial guiding light for a team bannered mostly by amateurs coming for the NCC. Years later after winning an MVP, Guidaben would be shipped to Purefoods for playing coach Ramon Fernandez.
