A pick-up in a trade with the defunct Shell ballclub, he was relegated to the second unit after a starting role with his previous team. But still, the former Letran Knights standout remains deadly with his accurate shooting from the perimeter.
The 28-year-old shooting guard appeared in 43 games for San Miguel, starting only once, and logged 17.5 minutes per game of exposure which he translated to 6.3 points per outing. This season, his role won’t be different as long as he can contribute to the success of the team.
My Impression
One of the hottest players in the rainbow country today. Because of the absense of Hontiveros last conference, Calaguio is the go to guy in terms of three point shots. Playing more time than before improves the skills of Calaguio andg proven his potentials as a deadly shooter. Aside from his deadly hand at the arc, he is also a slasher who can attack the defense. He's really a "Zone Breaker", he attacks outside and slashes inside.²
