It seemed ages ago when Olsen good-naturedly complained that all the recognition he ever got came from the PBA Press Corps and its yearend awards ceremony.
The former Ateneo star is now widely recognized as one of the league's premier pint guards, perhaps next only to Johnny Abarrientos, and the undisputed leader of a San Miguel team that dominated the 1999 campaign.
To put the icing on another big year for this bundle of pure energy, Olsen finished the year No. 1 in the assist-turnovers ratio (3.8), 10th among the locals in assist (3.6) and a member of the Mythical Second Team.
My Impression
A decade of dribbling a setting up a play ,17 championships and still counting, what more can you ask for. One of the league's best pointguards and maybe one of the longest. Though he's playing with the younger guards of today, Racela has proven that he's not that old to retire. He can show more and share more inthe years to come.
CHAT OUT LOUD!!!
