FREDDIE ABUDA – “The Scavenger”
A former second round pick of Purefoods, the reed thin forward was considered a pro league goner until the Racela/Abuda – Ravena/Frankie Lim trade saved him. He blossomed under Ron Jacobs and he made his living by taking all loose balls, playing serious defense on imports and defenders and doing the little things superstars will never do. He will become a fixture in the ballclub until he was displaced by Nic Belasco.
