Wesley Gonzales

Position: Forward
Jersey Number: 15
Birthdate: 07/27/1980
Birthplace: Manila
Height (ft.in.): 6'4"
Weight(lbs.): 180

A star during his college days with Ateneo in the UAAP, Gonzales’s career in the pro ranks never get a chance to flourish as the 6-3 forward had to play back-up on Air21 and now with San Miguel. He played 42 games last season and averaged just 3.1 points per outing.

He spent most of last year on the bench and hardly got an opportunity to contribute to the two teams he had played with. Now, with coach Chot Reyes’ mantra of pushing the ball more often, Gonzales might get the chance to be part of the rotation as he is known to be a good fastbreak finisher.

My Impression
One of MBM's best defender. He was also tasked to defend opponent's key players. However, what makes Gonzales different from other defenders like is the fact that he can also be a playerL who needs defense. This player can hit you outside and even inside. He has a deadly shot from the arc and a Seigle-like moves inside. Where can you find a player you can rely on defense and offense?
