JOEY MENTE – “Slam Dunk King”
Picked tenth in the 2001 Draft comprised of mostly MBA veterans, little known Mente’s chances was bleak. The former Iloilo Megavolt persevered though, as he slowly crept his way to the main core. His talent though is best recognized as a great one-on-one player and a souring leaper – winning the Slam Dunk title despite his obvious lack of size.
